EPA Forum 2020
Towards a European Model of Interaction among Mental Health Workforces for Optimal Care
Saturday, 28 March 2020
IFEMA Municipal Palace, Madrid, Spain
Jointly organised by the European Psychiatric Association (EPA) and GAMIAN-Europe
First introduced in 2015, the EPA Forum traditionally precedes the official opening of the annual European Congress on Psychiatry, bringing together EPA members and Congress delegates with European organisations, stakeholders and policy makers in the field of mental health and mental health care to present and discuss matters of European importance.
The 2020 edition of the EPA Forum is jointly organised with patient organisation GAMIAN-Europe (EPA Board member). This year’s programme aims to deepen understanding of how mental health workforces are interacting in the different European countries, how each one is assessing its collaboration with the others, and how to develop a European interaction model for the most efficient care of patients across the continent.
The panel discussions will provide insight from the different actors working in the field of mental health, as well as the perspectives of policy makers and mental health experts from the EU and international organisations.
Moreover, this year the EPA Forum will go interactive thanks to the introduction of live polling through the EPA congress mobile app, allowing the audience to have its say on core issues raised during the event.
