It is with great pleasure and anticipation that Prof. Volpe and I invite you to attend the 35th European Congress of Psychiatry, which will take place on 3–6 April 2027 in Florence, Italy.
The theme of the 2027 Congress, “Innovating Mental Health: Towards Personalised and Integrated Care,” reflects a key priority for our field and a pillar of the EPA’s 2025-2027 Action Plan: ensuring that innovation in research, clinical practice, service delivery and therapeutic options leads to more tailored, person-centred, and effective care for people living with mental health conditions.
Personalised and integrated care means recognising the uniqueness of each individual according to the “Whole Person Health” approach, while strengthening collaboration across disciplines, services and sectors. It calls for approaches that are evidence-based, individualised and adapted to the realities of clinical practice. It also invites us to explore how new technologies, translational research, prevention and early intervention can contribute to a more accessible and compassionate approach to mental health care.
The 2027 Congress will provide an excellent opportunity to share the latest scientific knowledge, advance our profession, and discuss research and clinical developments across the field of psychiatry. It will also offer a dynamic forum for exchanging good practices, building collaboration with allied professions, and promoting innovative approaches that can be implemented in real-world settings.
Bringing together the EPA community and colleagues from across Europe and beyond, the Congress will be a unique opportunity to gain new insights, strengthen networks, and help shape the future of mental health care.
