Meet the Leaders

Philip Gorwood
EPA President & SPC Chair

Prof. Gorwood is Professor of Psychiatry at Sainte-Anne Hospital and Head of the CMME department, teaching at the University of Paris.

He is also Head of the Team 1 at INSERM (Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médical) research unit 1266 (Institute of Psychiatry and Neuroscience of Paris) devoted to genetic vulnerability of psychiatric and addictive disorders.

Professor and Chair of Psychiatry at the University of Oviedo (Asturias, Spain) and Clinical Director of Psychiatric Services for the Oviedo Area.
His primary research interests are the evaluation, management, treatment and assessment of the impact of various psychiatric disorders, including addiction, psychosis, affective, anxiety and psychophysiology disorders.
