EPA 2026 WELCOME MESSAGE

Dear Colleagues,

We have the privilege to invite you to attend the 34th European Congress of Psychiatry, which will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, on 28 – 31 March 2026.

The 2026 Congress motto will be “Mental Health: Improving Care and Expanding Horizons”, emphasising the need to improve mental healthcare across all contexts and for every citizen living in Europe. “Expanding Horizons” underscores the importance of strengthening collaboration with allied professionals and including experts by experience and carers in the improvement of mental healthcare.

TESTIMONIALS

“The diversity of scientific sessions and speakers offered a comprehensive view of current psychiatric practice and research. It was an excellent opportunity to network with professionals from across Europe and to engage in meaningful discussions about mental health innovation. The balance between clinical updates, policy discussions, and personal experience sharing created a rich and inspiring learning environment.”
“EPA 2025 has been a truly eye-opening experience. It offered valuable insights into the future of psychiatry and helped me gain a broader perspective on where the field is heading. I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn from such inspiring experts and connect with colleagues from across Europe.”
“The most valuable aspect of the congress was the strong emphasis on human rights, dignity, and co-construction in mental health care. The diversity of perspectives—from patients and families to professionals and policymakers—created a rich, inclusive atmosphere. Also, the smooth online access to key sessions and the opportunity to rewatch content made the experience flexible and deeply informative.”
“The congress has the perfect balance between cutting edge research brought from the bench to the bedside. Code of conduct and moral issues dealt with in a most admirable way”
“The best aspect of this Psychiatric Congress was the opportunity to hear diverse cultural approaches to mental health. By learning about how different countries and cultures address psychiatric care, I gained a broader understanding of the global perspectives and challenges in the field. This exposure not only deepened my knowledge of various treatment methods but also highlighted the importance of cultural competence in providing effective mental health care.“
“The best part of the congress was definitely the broad scope of presentations. It’s possible to find something that matches your own interests, while also having the opportunity to watch several presentations after the conference has ended. Personally, I was very busy during the days of the conference, which is why I participated online. For that reason, the recordings that are now available are of great value to me.”
“Excellent scientific program with cutting-edge research, practical workshops, and inspiring keynotes from leading experts.“
