1. Taxi services

Madrid airport taxis are always present at numerous official airport taxi stands, no matter day or night. Madrid taxis, white with a red stripe on their sides, offer premium and fast transfer services from the airport to the city of Madrid, dropping off passengers at the exact location of their destination. There is absolutely no need to drag your luggage around or try to find your way to Madrid. All taxis accept credit/debit card payment.

Each terminal at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport Madrid is equipped with two taxi ranks, one at the departures and one at the arrivals level, while passengers are highly advised to hire their cabs exclusively from the official ranks to avoid getting overcharged.

Are you up for a bus transfer from Madrid Airport to the EPA 2025 Congress Venue? To get to IFEMA Palacio Municipal from Madrid Airport, you can take the Airport Express bus (Line 203). This bus service provides a direct connection between the airport and IFEMA, making it a convenient option for attendees.

The Airport Express bus (Line 203) stops at several locations within the airport terminals. You can easily locate the designated stops and board the bus that will take you directly to IFEMA Palacio Municipal.

The bus service is frequent, and the journey typically takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

To get to IFEMA Palacio Municipal from the Madrid City Centre, you can take various bus routes that connect the city to the venue. Some of the commonly used bus lines to reach IFEMA are:

  • Bus Line 112 – Avenida de América to Barrio del Aeropuerto: This bus route passes by IFEMA and is convenient for travelers coming from the city center. You can board this bus at the Avenida de América transport hub. 
  • Bus Line 122 – Avenida de América to Coslada (Barrio del Aeropuerto): Another bus line that serves the area around IFEMA and provides a direct connection to the venue. 
  • Bus Line 828 – Canillejas to IFEMA: This bus route runs between Canillejas and IFEMA, making it a useful option for attendees staying in that area.

Useful tips and information: 

  • EMT buses do not accept notes that are larger than 5€.
  • EMT’s website offers an online journey planner that helps you find the fastest route to your destination.
  • Tickets for the Airport Express shuttle cannot be loaded on to the Tarjeta Multi, they must be purchased on the bus.
  • If you are planning on using public transport a lot during your stay, consider purchasing the Tourist Travel Pass which entitles you to unlimited travel over your selected time period.

The nearest Metro station to the venue is FERIA DE MADRID – Line 8 which exits at the north entrance to the venue. 

The line connects the fairgrounds with the terminals of Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport and the Cercanías RENFE train network at Nuevos Ministerios. 

Tickets:

All pay-per-ride tickets must be loaded onto the Tarjeta Multi, a contactless, transferable plastic smartcard that is valid for up to 10 years.

You can purchase it for 2.50€ at all Metro and Metro ligero stations from ticket machines that have a red sticker saying Tarjeta MULTI Disponible AQUÍ, as well as from Estancos (tobacco shops) and other authorized retailers. It is free if you purchase the 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7-day Tourist Travel Pass, and once the pass expires, you can top up the smartcard with pay-per-ride tickets (single or 10-ride tickets).
